The print belongs to the Tauromaquia cycle, which initially consisted of thirty-three panels, later enlarged by seven more subjects. In the upper right-hand corner it bears the number 24.
The edition to which the proof belongs was printed at the Real Academia in Madrid in a limited number of two hundred copies. Large uncut margins of about 50 mm all around.
In perfect condition. At lower right an embossed stamp depicting Goya's portrait, characteristic of this edition.
Excellent proof printed in dark sepia, a colour that gives a very warm effect.
