Engraver, photoengraver, photographer

Luigi Tolotti was born in Trieste in 1966, always fascinated by visual art, he began his artistic career starting from the end of the 1980s, with particular attention to drawing and photography. After finishing high school, he began to devote himself to the development and improvement of expressive techniques. In 1990 he attended the "Free School of etching Carlo Sbisà". He completed his studies at the "International School of Graphic Design in Venice" attending the courses in succession:
1994: photogravure and mixed techniques directed by Daniel Divorne;
1995: manufacture of handmade paper directed by Fernando Masone;
1996: engraving - advanced and experimental techniques directed by Riccardo Licata;
1996: "Hayter technique" simultaneous color print directed by Anna Romanello.His twenty-year career has allowed him to develop a vast experience in the field of photography and graphic techniques: - Engraving: traditional techniques (etching, aquatinte, ceramolle) - Engraving: experimental techniques (printing with alternative matrices: wood, cardboard, plastic, etc. .) - Photoengraving - Traditional photo printing methods - Development and printing of negatives - Pc softwares-Adobe Suite - Digital printing techniques - Use of pinhole camera - Cameraless photography
