Guido Venturini graduated in Architecture in Florence where he lived until 1990. He moved to Milan and worked for a long time in the field of design. They often represent anthropomorphic characters between dream and reality, and sometimes recall the universe of comics, science fiction and mythology.
He is one of the founders of "bolidismo", a current that aimed to review the role of the designer in society. He founded the "King Kong Production" with Stefano Giovannoni.
Among the industries with which he collaborated: Alessi, Kundalini, BRF.
His works have been the subject of various national and international exhibitions and are published in the most important magazines in the sector.
He carried out teaching activities at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence. He is currently a professor in Milan at the Brera Academy and at the Domus Academy.
Since 2000 his interest has progressively shifted from design to painting, to which he has approached by attending the courses of the School of the Authors, the Free School of Nude and the Academy of Brera in Milan.
His painting is realistic, between impression and expression, in search of the registration of energy and beauty of bodies in light. A skilled engraver who masters all typographic and calcographic techniques, his mark is biting and incisive.
His institutional debut as a painter took place in 2013 with two significant exhibitions in Bagnavacallo and contextually in Milan, in the prestigious halls of the Diocesan Museum.
